Job Title: Truck Driver – Short Distance Job Summary Truck drivers operate heavy trucks to transport goods and materials on the short distance/local routs. Truck drivers will perform some shipping/receiving activities such as loading and unloading trucks, prepare documentations, performing safety checks on the vehicles Responsibility Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors. Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy. Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements. Familiarity with McLaren’s Business Management System (BMS). Operate and drive company fleet to transport goods and material to destinations. Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo. Perform daily pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, and brakes.
