Make an impact with us
At PwC, you will be part of a community of curious and passionate people working together to build trust and solve important problems. You will have the opportunity to turn your knowledge into meaningful impact for entrepreneurs and growing businesses, while developing your expertise in an inclusive and supportive environment.
You will work with different perspectives, learn from experienced colleagues and take increasing ownership of your work. From your first day, you will be encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas and keep developing your technical and professional skills.
About PwC Business Services
PwC Business Services supports small and medium sized enterprises throughout their growth journey. Our teams combine expertise in accounting, tax compliance, reporting, consolidation, transactions and financial advisory to deliver practical solutions tailored to our clients.
Within our SME Advisory practice, you will join a collaborative team working closely with entrepreneurs, business owners and accounting professionals.
Your focus will be on the tax and legal questions that matter to SMEs. You will help translate Belgian tax legislation into clear and practical advice and will have the opportunity to develop expertise at the intersection of tax, law and accounting.
What your day will look like
As a Tax & Legal Expert within our SME Advisory practice, you will be the go-to person for tax and legal matters affecting small and medium-sized enterprises and individual owners. You translate complex tax legislation into clear, practical advice that our clients can act on — whether that means drafting advices, preparing legal or tax documents, drafting a ruling request or supporting clients through a tax risk assessment.
This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of tax, law, and accounting — and who wants to build a career at the heart of an autonomous tax function within PwC.
- Translate complexity into clarity. You convert complex tax regulations into straightforward, actionable advice tailored to SME clients.
- Provide tax and legal support. You monitor relevant (tax) legislation and regulatory developments, and you deliver hands-on tax and legal assistance across a broad range of topics.
- Identify and manage tax risks. You proactively spot fiscal risks, assess their impact, and help clients put the right controls in place.
- Stay ahead of the curve. You continuously update your knowledge of tax developments, share insights within the organisation, and actively contribute to building out our autonomous tax function.
In practice, your work will include:
- Drafting tax advice
- Advising SME clients on day-to-day tax and legal matters
- Supporting accounting teams with the fiscal dimensions of their work
- Preparing and filing ruling requests with the Belgian tax authorities
- Drafting tax and legal documents (contracts, corporate resolutions, restructuring documentation)
- Preparation of client meetings: Engaging in discussions with senior-level internal and external stakeholders to present clear and tailored tax and legal advice.
What we will expect from you
- You hold a Master's degree in Tax, Law, Economics, or a related field — ideally with a specialisation in tax or business law.
- You have 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in tax advisory, legal practice, or a combination of both.
- You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and are comfortable navigating financial statements and annual accounts.
- You are familiar with Belgian tax legislation (corporate tax, VAT, registration duties) and keep up with regulatory changes.
- You are familiar with MS Office; any knowledge of other specialized programs is highly appreciated;
- You are able to work on your own and you have a good sense of responsibility;
- You are dynamic, flexible and professional.
- You combine analytical rigour with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
- You communicate clearly and concisely — in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a strong asset.
- You are a team player who also knows how to work independently and manage your own workload.
What you can expect from us
You bring your talent, curiosity and ambition. We create an environment where you can keep developing them.
- Flexible ways of working. Flexible working arrangements through Work at PwC Reimagined, helping you find a working pattern that works for you, the team and our clients.
- Continuous learning and growth. Broad opportunities to learn on the job, deepen your tax and legal expertise and explore different disciplines as your career develops.
- Meaningful client exposure. Work directly on tax and legal questions faced by Belgian SMEs and entrepreneurs, building both technical expertise and business understanding.
- Supportive collaboration. Learn alongside colleagues with different backgrounds and areas of expertise in a culture where questions, ideas and different perspectives are valued.
- Rewards that matter to you. A flexible rewards plan that allows you to choose benefits that fit your personal circumstances and lifestyle.
- Sustainable mobility. Access to a range of sustainable mobility options.
- Wellbeing. An extensive health and wellbeing offering, including an online wellbeing platform, sports communities, yoga and Pilates courses and mental resilience workshops.
- An international network. Access to expertise across the wider PwC network as well as strong local knowledge.
- Support throughout different phases of life. Including family friendly working arrangements.
