THE WORK
- Architecting and implementing cloud-based data warehousing, lakehouse, analytics and AI solutions on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud and selected major cloud providers (Microsoft, GCP, AWS).
- Defining best practices for data governance, security, performance optimization, and cost efficiency in Snowflake environments, including Horizon Catalog and governed, auditable access for AI agents.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (data engineers, data scientists, AI engineers, and cloud architects) to deliver end-to-end data platform and AI solutions.
- Integrating Snowflake with broader cloud ecosystems, including open lakehouses (Apache Iceberg), data integration and streaming services (Openflow, Snowpipe Streaming), AI/ML frameworks, and visualization tools.
- Using Snowflake CoCo, Snowflake’s AI coding agent, to accelerate delivery of SQL, dbt models, pipelines and AI applications, and defining guardrails, reusable skills and review practices for AI-assisted development.
- Designing and delivering AI agents and conversational analytics with Cortex AI (Cortex Agents, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search) and Snowflake CoWork, grounded in governed semantic views.
- Advising clients on modernization strategies, including migration from legacy on-prem databases to Snowflake-based architectures using AI-assisted migration tooling (e.g., SnowConvert AI).
- Supporting pre-sales and solutioning activities, including estimation, proof-of-concepts, and technology assessments.
- Staying up to date with Snowflake innovations (e.g. CoCo, CoWork, Cortex AI, Semantic Views, Openflow, Apache Iceberg) and industry trends in data and AI.
- Collaborating across all crucial stages of project development with business analysts, source system experts, data architects, engineers, and product owners.
- Proposing and defending effective, consistent solutions that balance strategic development and existing architecture.
- Communicating and documenting work clearly, considering performance and cost factors in design decisions.
Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office – depending on specific project circumstances.
