The Department of Jewish Studies at McGill University invites applications for the Simon and Ethel Flegg Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Montreal. The one-year postdoctoral fellowship will begin on September 1, 2027. Candidates should specialize in the pre-modern period and complement existing strengths in the department . The department will give special consideration to candidates with a strong emerging record of research and a demonstrated commitment to teaching. Alongside an original research agenda, the Flegg fellow will make an active contribution to Jewish Studies at McGill, including through building intellectual community among faculty and students. The selected candidate must also agree to take up local residence in Montreal during the academic year for the tenure of their fellowship. The F
