Setup Technician – Die Casting Job Summary Under general supervision, responsible for the set-up and operation of production Cell used in production processes. Work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspect machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools. Shift between activities as production demands, determine and correct more complex machine malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning. Responsibility Responsible for maintaining production documents such as error check list and 5min check Shows understanding of all Quality process controls and documentation. Has the ability to use all the equipment safely and correctly. Execution of all functions of the die Casting Cell Responsible for the quality of the parts from the Die Casting Cell. Starting up of the high-pressure die-casting machines. Responsible for quality checks and the documentation of information as required. Responsible for daily documentation in shift log of the I+R Collaborate and work within continuous improvement teams on plant projects. Able to detect casting errors visually.
