RBC — TORONTO, Ontario, Canada

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

RBC Enterprise Social Media is our center of excellence — the place where social strategy is conceived, built, and scaled across one of Canada's most recognized brands. We're looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Social Content & Communities to lead how RBC Direct Investing shows up across social: turning complex investing concepts into content people actually want to engage with, and building communities where investors feel heard. This is a role for someone who lives at the intersection of content, community, and compliance. You'll own organic social content and community building end-to-end for this exciting portfolio, shaping how we bring our value proposition to life.

What will you do?

  • Own the organic social strategy across all key channels like, LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, X, Reddit, and emerging platforms — from planning through execution.
  • Translate complex financial and investment concepts into accessible, platform-first content, and manage digital communities within strict regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Turn dense investing topics, market updates, trading tools, and educational resources into human-centric visual and written content.
  • Develop, plan, and execute direct investing content across platforms in close partnership with the creative team and agency partners.
  • Oversee day-to-day engagement, comment moderation, and active community building across Reddit and other applicable social channels — turning audiences into invested communities.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, media agencies, and platform partners.
  • Partner with the customer contact center, business operations, and service teams to route and resolve client and community inquiries and platform feedback originating on social media.
  • Ensure all copy, creative assets, disclosures, and community responses strictly adhere to financial industry regulations, brand guidelines, and risk standards.
  • Define KPIs and track channel metrics — reach, engagement, conversion, and share of voice.
  • Deliver recurring ROI reports to leadership and partner teams that turn data into clear recommendations.
  • Build an always-on content strategy that drives awareness and consideration, leveraging creators and platform-native formats.
  • Manage monthly budget tracking, campaign performance reporting, and quarterly business reviews with platform and agency partners.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University bachelor's degree; 7+ years of experience in content strategy and execution (client-side or agency), with proven success managing large-scale budgets, multiple business partners, and agencies; investing content planning as asset.
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory experience mentoring and managing reports.
  • Knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Reddit, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn Ads, and third-party planning and analytics tools.
  • Polished presentation skills — comfortable presenting strategy, performance, and recommendations to senior leaders.

What’s in it for you?

A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable:

  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • A world-class training program in financial services
  • Flexible work/life balance options
  • Opportunities to take on progressively greater accountabilities
  • Opportunities to build close relationships with stakeholders and business partners
