About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID and a strong secondary focus on Microsoft 365 security. You will join a global technology team supporting large enterprise customers, acting as a trusted advisor on identity, access, and security topics. You will handle complex, high-impact cases and provide strategic guidance that strengthens customers’ security posture.
This is a customer-facing role for a seasoned expert who combines hands-on technical depth with the ability to advise senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advisory and technical support for Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) in complex enterprise environments
- Design, review, and troubleshoot identity architectures, including hybrid identity (Entra Connect, Cloud Sync, ADFS, federation, SSO)
- Advise on Conditional Access, MFA and passwordless authentication, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Identity Protection, access reviews, and entitlement management
- Support B2B/B2C collaboration, application registrations, enterprise apps, and OAuth/OIDC/SAML integrations
- Deliver security guidance across Microsoft 365 workloads, covering Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Purview, and Intune
- Perform security assessments, health checks, and risk reviews, and translate findings into prioritized remediation roadmaps
- Lead resolution of critical incidents and escalations, including root cause analysis and post-incident recommendations
- Advise on Zero Trust adoption and alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and best practices
- Communicate clearly with technical teams and senior business stakeholders, in writing and verbally
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise IT environments, including significant consulting or customer-facing delivery
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity architectures
- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, authentication protocols (Kerberos, NTLM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML), and federation
- Proven experience with Conditional Access, PIM, MFA, and identity governance
- Solid experience in Microsoft 365 security (Defender suite, Purview, Intune, Exchange Online security)
- Proficiency in PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API for administration and automation
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with experience handling escalations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English, written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as SC-300, SC-100, SC-200, AZ-500, MS-102, or AZ-305
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, KQL, and security monitoring/incident response
- Knowledge of Zero Trust frameworks and security standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
- Experience with large-scale migrations, mergers/divestitures, or tenant-to-tenant moves
- Familiarity with ITIL practices
- Experience in a global support, advisory, or managed services organization
- German or other European language skills (a plus)
