Background Manulife’s Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) businesses operate across our global footprint in the US, Canada and Asia. They include our Retail (Manulife Investments, John Hancock Investments, and Asian mutual fund businesses), Retirement (Retirement Plan Services, Group Retirement Solutions, and Asian pension businesses), and Institutional (Manulife Asset Management) businesses. One of Manulife’s key strategic themes is to build and integrate its global wealth and asset management businesses. Manulife’s Investment Division has two major businesses – management of the General Fund investments and Manulife Asset Management (MAM), a leading global third party asset management business.
