Employer: John Hancock Life Insurance Company (USA) Job Site: 197 Clarendon, Boston, MA 02116 Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant Job Duties: Compile and analyze financial data from property-level and consolidated ledgers to produce accurate and timely investor-specific financial statements in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) / International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); and ensure all reporting aligns with fund structures such as Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and partnerships and meets internal and external standards. Duties include: Prepare and post recurring and ad-hoc journal entries including accruals, reclassifications, fee allocations, capital activates, and revaluation and investment income recognition; and conduct detailed reviews to ensure accuracy of postings and adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures; Reconcile key balance sheet accounts such as cash, working balance, receivables, payables, and investments, and investigate and resolve discrepancies; Perform fund - level Net Asset Value ( NAV) calculations incorporating valuation adjustment, net investment activity, income allocations, expense accrual
