We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, this role is responsible for the consolidation, financial reporting, and accounting activities of ATCO EnPower. This role plays a critical part in the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, supports derivative and hedge accounting, oversees financial reporting systems, and coordinates internal and external audit requirements to ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting. This is a term position for a 24-month maternity leave . Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Prepare consolidated financial results ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting across multiple entities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and corporate reporting deliverables Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, including note disclosures and supporting documentation using Workiva Assist with chart of account maintenance Support with identifying process inefficiencies and opportunities for ERP enhancements or automation initiatives Support complex accounting matters by research
