Position Description: The Safety & Health Manager provides site leadership for regulatory compliance, safety and health governance, and proactive compliance assurance across mining operations. The role works closely with Operations Managers, site leadership teams, supervisors, employees, and regulatory agencies to ensure work is planned and executed in accordance with Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requirements, applicable state and federal regulations, Nevada Gold Mines standards, and established site procedures. A primary focus of the position is maintaining a strong, professional, and proactive relationship with MSHA. The Safety & Health Manager coordinates regulatory interactions and inspections, ensures potential compliance issues are identified and corrected before they become enforcement matters, and helps operational leaders understand and consistently meet regulatory expectations. The role strengthens site capability through field engagement, compliance reviews, coaching, training, trend analysis, and disciplined follow-up of findings and corrective actions.
