Job End Date August 31, 2027 The Department of English and Cultural Studies within the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan Campus invites applications for a full-time, one-year Lecturer position in Canadian Literature and First-Year Writing, with an expected start date of September 1, 2026, or mutually agreed time. Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD in the field and with experience teaching at the post-secondary level. ABD files or files with considerable teaching experience will also be considered. Teaching will consist of eight sections per year, with one or two sections taught in the summer terms. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Canadian literature courses at the second, third and fourth year level, along with first-year literature-composition courses.
