Hiring Unit: Department of Biology (Professor Abigail Gerhold) Position Summary: Prepares media and C. elegans culture plates to meet weekly lab needs. Prepares solutions and reagents. Cleans and sterilizes glassware. Communicates with lab members about media and reagent needs. Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Excellent attention to detail and time management. Good interpersonal skills; maintain strong lines of communication with supervisor and lab members. Must be approved by the McGill Work Study program . Education/Experience: Experience with media preparation within a laboratory environment. Experience with basic sterile techniques. Progress towards a BSc in Biology or closely related field.
