Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end bank reconciliations. Complete daily and month-end reconciliations for approximately 55 assigned bank accounts by matching bank statements to collection, disbursement, policy administration, payment, and general-ledger records.

• Investigate and clear reconciling items. Identify unmatched, duplicated, delayed, misposted, or incorrectly allocated transactions; determine root causes; coordinate corrections; and track each item through closure.

• Support premium collection and disbursement controls. Validate the completeness and accuracy of premium receipts, policyholder benefit payments, refunds, settlements, vendor payments, and related bank charges or returns.

• Monitor suspense and aged items. Maintain complete aging and ownership records, follow up open items within agreed timelines, and escalate long-outstanding or material balances before month-end close.

• Identify unusual transactions and control exceptions. Apply accounting knowledge and professional judgment to detect abnormal transaction patterns, unexplained bank movements, possible duplicate or unauthorized payments, and indicators requiring fraud, Risk, Compliance, or management escalation.

• Protect month-end close quality. Complete critical reconciliations and adjustments within the close timetable, provide clear status reporting, and promptly escalate unresolved items that may affect financial reporting.

• Maintain audit-ready evidence. Retain bank statements, reconciliation workings, system extracts, explanations, approvals, adjustment support, and closure evidence in accordance with record-retention requirements.

• Improve reconciliation processes. Support bank-to-ledger mapping, standard templates, automation, data-quality improvements, and preventive actions that reduce recurring exceptions and manual effort.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant reconciliation or accounting experience, preferably in life insurance or financial services.

• Practical knowledge of bank reconciliation, suspense management, journal entries, month-end closing, and financial controls.

• Ability to understand insurance transaction flows covering premium collection, policyholder benefit payments, refunds, settlements, and returns.

• Strong analytical judgment to distinguish routine timing differences from abnormal or potentially unauthorized transactions.

• Strong Excel skills; experience with reconciliation tools, bank data, enterprise resource planning systems, or automation is an advantage.

• Clear written and verbal communication in Indonesian and English, with disciplined documentation and follow-up.

• High integrity, attention to detail, ownership, and ability to work under daily transaction and month-end deadlines.
