Job Title: Engineer- Automation, Senior Job Summary Serve as the plant resource for line improvements, line automation, realignment of product flow equipment and machinery in conjunction with Engineering and Maintenance. Provide technical leadership and assist in the training of Machine Operators, Maintenance personnel and Engineering staff. Responsibility Identify and direct continuous improvement activities. Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems. Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems. Analyze PLC, PMC and robot programs. Supervise and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of automation systems within the facility. Investigate failures and unexpected maintenance problems related to automation programming and signals. Implementing, designing and integrating PLC, PMC/CNC and robot programs with programs like Ultraware, Panel Builder, Fanuc Ladder, RoboGuide, RobotStudio and Profinet programs. Track data for performance of the automation and any issues that occur. Determine which equipment to use
