The role may be based in Toronto, Ontario; Salt Lake City, Utah; or Elko, Nevada.

Working closely with the Regional Geosciences Data & Analytics Manager, the Geospatial Solutions Lead and project geoscientists, you will combine strong Esri expertise with an understanding of geology, fieldwork and 2D/3D geoscience data. • Publish, update and troubleshoot ArcGIS Server services and GIS content; support ArcGIS Online collaboration where used, and maintain existing web maps, ArcGIS Dashboards and Experience Builder applications.
  • Configure and support ArcGIS Field Maps, including offline maps, GNSS/GPS observations, mobile forms, field data synchronization and related ArcGIS Survey123 workflows where appropriate.
  • Work directly with exploration geologists to prepare geological and structural maps, project geodatabases, spatial compilations and interpretation-ready GIS products.
  • Handle diverse 2D and 3D datasets—geology, geochemistry, drilling, geophysical survey products, satellite Other duties as assigned
  • imagery, LiDAR, elevation models and surfaces.
  • Convert and quality-check raster, vector, CAD, geodatabase, imagery and tabular spatial formats; apply sound coordinate-system, metadata and data-integrity practices.
  • Help teams find existing maps, surveys, historical project information and authoritative GIS sources; maintain clear project GIS documentation.
  • Support exchange of spatial information with Leapfrog Geo and acQuire workflows; collaborate with the Geospatial Solutions Lead on enhancements and integrations.
  • Work closely with the Geospatial Solutions Lead and geologists to improve workflows; remain open to learning and using approved AI assistants or agent-based tools for GIS documentation, troubleshooting and repetitive tasks, with appropriate review of outputs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Degree in geology, geoscience, GIS, geomatics or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience; a geological background is strongly preferred
  • Substantial hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server and web GIS content), including publishing, organizing and maintaining maps, layers and services preferred
  • Experience configuring ArcGIS Field Maps and digital field collection workflows; familiarity with Survey123, ArcGIS Dashboards, Experience Builder or ArcGIS Online preferred
  • Practical understanding of geological mapping and how exploration geologists use GIS for fieldwork, compilation, interpretation and targeting preferred
  • Comfort working with multiple geospatial formats, raster and vector data, geodatabases, coordinate reference systems and spatial QA/QC preferred
  • Hands-on, collaborative approach to supporting geologists and other specialists; curiosity, initiative, clear documentation and a willingness to learn new Esri capabilities and practical AI-assisted tools or agents responsibly preferred
  • Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada or the United States, as applicable to the selected work location required
  • Mineral exploration experience; familiarity with Leapfrog Geo and acQuire; basic understanding of geophysical datasets; remote sensing and LiDAR; GIS data cataloguing; willingness to travel occasionally to Canada and US project sites. Basic scripting or automation preferred

What We Can Offer You

  • Competitive compensation and benefits appropriate to the selected Canadian or US work location.
  • A collaborative, multidisciplinary team working on real exploration challenges.
  • Opportunities to learn, develop and work across North American exploration projects.
  • An inclusive environment and equal opportunity employment.
